DM2000033135:GCP:POLITICS:WOMEN:MAR1956 – Congress Dances And Sings – This is not the scene from ‘La Traviata.’ Women delegates to the South African Congress sing, dance, cheer and make the ‘Africa!’ thumbs up sign at the end of the three day National Conference in Cape Town. There was a sequel to the conference when policemen broke up a public meeting organised by S.A.C.T.U on the Grade Parade.
